KING OF THE KORNER.  Written and directed by JAMES MATHERS. Produced by KEES KASANDER. Starring SAUL WILLIAMS, ANA ORTIZ, LEO FITZPATRICK, HANNIS JAENECKE.

Made in 2000, and shot entirely in the Chinatown district of downtown Los Angeles, this hyper-real anti-capitalist drama is set among the hunter-gatherers who wash car windows in the shadow of the Pasadena freeway.

SUNDAY, BLOODY SUNDAY.  A heroic amount of footage from the KING OF THE KORNER was incorporated into Saul Williams' music video for his cover of "Sunday, Bloody Sunday", off his "The Inevitable Rise and Liberation of Niggy Tardust" album. The video was directed by Mathers and close friend and colleague JORDAN BYRNE.
